“The Beauty of the Wind”

When the wind blows fast,

I think nothing of it.

My world seems in a tranquil bliss and my heart is at ease.

The rays of which rain upon me from the sun

Warms my heart,

For you are not here to love me for eternity.

You ran away from what we called love,

But now you look down that dusty way.

You wonder if I’m always going to be standing behind,

Waiting and looking.

But my heart is broken and can’t wait any longer.

I only wonder if this was what I’ve always waited for.

This love we have—magical.

The time we spend—irreplaceable by another.

Forever and a day you belong to me, but yet

Here I am.

Watching as your wheels burn and I stare after the fading taillights.

My eyes mist,

Missing everything I’ve ever known.

Please, wind, work your magic on me yet again.

Take me back to serenity,

Place me back in your arms, and make my world complete.

Nothing comes;

I find myself lost again.

I keep my faith, never straying from the peace in my heart

Even if it breaks it every time, I close my eyes.

My head swarms because I know my heart sees only you.

One day I might find the courage to bring you back to me,

But I can’t.

Finally,

It blows,

And I remember not the worries I had.

“Autumn”

Under the limbs of the bleeding trees,

Through the cave of the dormant giant,

Beyond the lake where the toad sings,

Over the niches of the small laborers,

So compliant,

The flowers have been hidden away;

And the animals can’t be seen,

For the beautiful bird has flown by,

Covering all the awakened things.

The air has become so crisp and cool

That the leaves snap when handled.

The sun stays buried away—

The clouds smother the lifeless candle.

After everyone is finished,

And the job is finally done,

The beautiful bird flies away—

Allowing all to nap, for fall has come.
